We encourage young people inclusion in discussion and solving various problems in our community and we cooperate with other similar associations in our country and wider. We aim to educate young people in mentioned areas in order to give them opportunity to spread everything they have learned and to encourage them to become actively involved in life of their community.
We have years of experience in promoting sustainable development and healthy lifestyle cooperating with other organizations and we are always looking for opportunities to build new partnerships with organizations who share the same world view, which will hopefully enrich our activities and broaden our horizons.
We always drive our volunteers to take part in projects related to a wide variety of topics such as environmental protection and recycling, sport and inclusion, art and creativity, team building, non-formal education methods and youth work, discrimination and democracy and many others.
We hosted different projects in the field of KA1, “From Dream to Employment”, in 2016, about the job market and how to approach to it in different ways, and the different opportunities that sorrounds youth; “Know your Rights!”, in 2017, about discrimination on the work place and on the work selection, and on labour rights; “Film it!”, in 2018, about how the video can be an useful tool for the promotion og NGOs and their activities, also as an open call to reach new, active members; “Play for Human Rights”, in 2018, about sport as a tool to promote human rights.
Since July 2016 we started to work on the concept of Sport for all, cooperating with several international organizations with whom we implemented local and international activities. We have been partner in the long-term project “Swim to Live”, a project that connects the benefits from physical, sport activities, mostly swimming, with the mindfulness self-development which follows it.
In 2017 SFERA ITALY took part in the KA3 project Y-CASI, promoting structured dialogue between institutions and organizations from six different regions from the South of Italy.
We are currently partner in different KA2, Eastern Countries Strategic Partnership, among them “Young Parents – Young Empowerment!”, about the empowerment of young parents through youth work skills.
We are also involved in KA2 projects, like “3RE Video”, about the development of a new video approach, which can support young people in the discovery of useful information through creativity; and “Mobile Youth Work: sharing European practices”, about creating and sharing of methodologies for mobile youth work provision, based on practices in rural areas across Europe.
All members of the organization involved in work on the project so far have experience in working with non-profit organizations, programs of the European Commission concerning the problems of youth, either as project managers, participants, partners or coaches. Leadership, communication, creativity, presentation, debating, mediation, facilitation, conflict resolution, working with youth and writing and managing their own projects are the main skills of all key stuff. Through participation in association activities and taking part at projects of our partners, all volunteers involved are improving their experiences and skills in this field.
